This is hilarious.
There are times, especially when being reminded of household chores, that I think our kids would answer, “Yes, we are.”
MOMMY [reading]: “Naaman was a very important man. A very, very important man. And he had a little slave girl who . . .”
JACK: Mommy, what’s a slave?
MOMMY: It means the little girl had to work for Naaman. She had to do whatever he said.
[Mommy continues reading; Jack ponders.]
JACK: Mommy, am I your slave?
