The Idolatry of Youth Culture in Worship

A very thought-provoking conversation about our youth-focused culture, its impact on worship, and leading our churches in worship. My favorite part of the conversation came at about 13 minutes into the video:

The Bible doesn’t really look at the church service like a concert with a sermon added, nor does it look like an academic lecture with a couple of songs added. It doesn’t view the service as a concert hall or lecture hall.

The picture in the Bible of a church service is one of a Banquet Hall, where many different people come around the banquet table, all different kinds of people, and we sit down and share a feast together.

That, my friends, is a beautiful, Scriptural way to view what Sunday could and should look like. May it be so in our gatherings.
