My Most Oft-quoted Psalm

I think the Psalm that I quote to people in need more than any other is the 121st. May you hear the Words of a loving Father today:

   A SONG OF ASCENTS.

  I lift up my eyes to the hills.
From where does my help come?
My help comes from the LORD,
who made heaven and earth.

  He will not let your foot be moved;
he who keeps you will not slumber.
Behold, he who keeps Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.

  The LORD is your keeper;
the LORD is your shade on your right hand.
The sun shall not strike you by day,
nor the moon by night.

  The LORD will keep you from all evil;
he will keep your life.
The LORD will keep
your going out and your coming in
from this time forth and forevermore.

  1. Good stuff tonight. Perfect timing for my weary pastor heart. Ps. I’m looking to start a new daily devotional. I’ve most recently gone through Andrew Murray’s collection on prayer in conjunction with 1 & 2 Peter. Any thing you particularly enjoyed?

    • Donnie,
      So encouraged the Psalmist ministered to you! Right now I have really been enjoying two books, almost daily. “A Year with C.S. Lewis” put out by Zondervan, and “Everyday Prayers” by Scotty Smith.
      Grace and Peace to you!
      Matthew
